Though I really need to get a decent photo taken of it in situ at my sisters. 

The fabric is Sanderson's Folia. The metal frame was really interesting to work with. In cross section the metal pieces were a squared off U shape with a wooden insert to allow for stapling-clever.

Lotus Flower workshop and birthday cake lantern at Celebrate Greenhead Park

The 'Northern Lights' a fantastic street band wearing the most amazing light up glasses march past the Lotus Flowers.

It was a really lovely event- Happy 127th Birthday Greenhead Park!

Celebrate Greenhead Park

I've been working on this giant lantern for the past 3 days. I took over Rupert's corner of the studio whilst he and Kevin soldiered on with the painting. There has been a really peaceful and purposeful atmosphere in there, which bodes well for the future. I love going to work in my studio : )

Look out for this lantern floating on the new lake at 'Celebrate Greenhead Park' day Sunday 25th Sept.

Floating origami lotus flowers

I'm currently working on these origami floating lanterns for the opening of the amazing new Greenhead Park in Hudds. It's on Sunday 25th Sept so not much time.....!

New Studio
